Developed in response to a demand from Australian air-conditioning system manufacturers for a more reliable product at a lower cost, PNE launched i-Start.
i-Start reduces the power drawn by a compressor or industrial fan motor to less than 45Amps (typicaly down from 200-220 Amps) at start up. The 45 Amp Rule is a recently introduced regulation intended to reduce energy wastage. i-Start also reduces acoustic noise at start-up, as well as reduces or eliminates "light flicker" very often experienced when a compressor motor starts.
